POLICING will come under the spotlight at a public meeting at Bury Town Hall from 6pm to 8pm tonight.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Chief Constable Peter Fahy and chairman of the Greater Manchester Police Authority (GMPA), Councillor Paul Murphy, will host the debate, one of 10 being held in the county.
Listeners will find out how GMP is performing against the targets set by the GMPA and the challenges facing policing in the future. Chief Con Fahy said: “These are exceptional times for policing and we’re in a situation we’ve not found ourselves in before. This is an opportunity for the people of Bury to ask questions and discuss the difficult decisions.”
