A CAR ploughed into the lounge of a semi-detached house in Brandleshome Road.
The Citroen Saxo came off the road and collided with a parked Vauxhall Astra before crashing into the front bay window.
The occupier of the house, an elderly lady, was left shaken following the incident at 1.39am on Saturday.
A 26-year-old man has been charged with drink-driving and driving without due care and attention
Roy Grundy, watch commander at Bury Fire Station, said: “We were there for half and hour and cordoned off the scene and isolated the car’s battery and checked no pipes were ruptured.”
