A LUNCHTIME gig, claiming to be the highest pop concert in the UK, will take place on Saturday (June 11) in aid of Rossendale & Pendle mountain rescue team.
At 9am, around 1,000 people will start the walk up Pendle Hill to see Burnley band 'Steeros.
The concert will raise funds for a new rescue base for the team, which covers the Bury area.
Team leader Andy Simpson said: "When we originally had this fundraising idea many people thought we were a bit mad to do it, but it's only a couple of years since some of our team members escorted a band up Kilimanjaro in Africa for the highest pop concert in the world. Hopefully, lugging all this gear up Pendle Hill will be much easier by comparison."
People can turn up on the day: entry fee is £15.
