A girl accused of slashing a student in the face and neck five times with a razor blade has been bailed.
The 16 year old, of Bury, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Bury Youth Court on Friday, May 27, charged with intentional wounding and possessing a dangerous weapon.
The charges relate to an alleged incident in an underpass close to Bury College on Thursday, May 26.
The court heard that the 18-year-old victim suffered wounds to the right eye, neck and throat and was left permantly disfigured, undergoing plastic surgery in hospital.
Wearing a lazer-blue sweater, dark blue jeans and grey Ugg boots, the sobbing defendant did not speak during the half-hour hearing.
She did not enter a plea. She was granted conditional bail and she is due to appear at the same court on Thursday, June 2.
