I would like to say how absolutely pathetic some people are to be complaining and moaning about the council building a new park for the local kids.

Yes it was a waste of money when there was already a perfectly good park already there and not that old either, but they did it, for what ever the reason behind it they did it.

Have these people who are complaining about the park got nothing better in their little lives to do then make complaints?

And as for those people who live directly opposite the park that are now complaining about their lives being invaded by kids and teenagers, oh come on.Why buy a property directly opposite a park if you don’t want to be invaded by kids!

I grew up in and around Elton and once used the park as my playground, as I am sure hundreds of other kids over the years have. My children are now doing the same, or were, until the minority of do-gooders poked their noses in.

Please do tell where are our children going to hang out now they have put a total stop to the continued work and progress of this park?

Oh that’s right, on the streets to cause even more trouble!

It’s the kids here that aren’t getting a fair deal, no one else. Everyone complains about kids these days out to cause trouble, roaming the streets, but exactly what else is there for them to do?

You have closed their park, the biggest and most popular one in the Elton area, and then come to a complete standstill at rebuilding a new one for them.

What is done is done, we can’t go back and change time. Let the work continue, let the building continue so the park can be a park once again, a place where all children can laugh and play and have fun.

I am a parent to three children: aged 15 years, 12 years and two years.
