To anyone who received a questionnaire regarding Elton Vale environmental improvements.
Don’t be fooled by the letter that came with it. Martin Proffitt stated that he is working closely with a group of residents to improve the valley.
This is not the case as they know most residents of Holcombe Avenue and Douglas Avenue are against the plan and we are the only streets who are directly affected by it.
We don’t want this valley touching as it is full of wildlife, much of which is protected by law, eg, bats, newts, toads and otters along with many rare birds and native plants.
It is a few individuals on the Diggle Lane Allotment committee and Morris Homes who want to redevelop the land.
The residents have been kept in the dark about these plans from the start, It is only our own investigating that has uncovered all this.
To do this to the patch of undisturbed natural wildlife habitat would be a crime and surely illegal.
Any wildlife group or bat or bird group can help us stop this destruction.
