I sympathise with Mr and Mrs Mosley who complained about the car parking at Minden Medical Centre (Bury Times, May 5).
I too received a car parking fine there. I had an appointment at the centre and arrived early to try and get a disabled bay.
They were all full so I waited a while, thinking one would become free.
While I waited, a couple came across the road from M&S with shopping, put it in the boot of one of the parked cars in a disabled space and then went back to the shops.
A few moments later and another couple did the same. As I didn’t have time to wait I could only park at the bottom of the car park that runs parallel with the main road, I paid £1.50 for a parking ticket.
I was away 20 minutes and when I returned from the doctors, I found a parking ticket. I am disabled, I cannot walk far so I was disgusted at this.
I was not causing any obstruction and wrote a letter of appeal but still had to pay the fine.
We have a lovely new medical centre so why can’t we have a car park for people attending the centre only?
