APRIMARY schoolchildren in Ramsbottom are in for a dose of chart-topping musical entertainment as part of a huge summer event.
Pop and dance singer BeBe Vox will perform at schools over the next few weeks to promote this year’s family fun day organised by Churches Together in Ramsbottom.
Organisers are hoping to raise extra funds at the concerts to help stage the event in Nuttall Park on Sunday, June 19. The event runs from 1.30pm to 5pm and admission is free.
A spokesperson for Churches Together in Ramsbottom said: “The fun day event was a huge success in 2009.
“It promises to be better then ever before with the enthusiasm of the Christian singing sensation with the big voice and big hair BeBe Vox.”
There will also be free activities throughout the day, including bouncy castles, puppet shows, stalls, sports events, face-painting and a brass band concert.
BeBe Vox has been described as a cross between Lady Gaga and Girls Aloud. Her first single hit the Top 20 in the BBC Radio 1 Dance Charts and she now has more than 6,000 fans on Facebook.
