ENTRIES have closed and exhibitors have been chosen for the second annual Bury Art Week.
Organisers have selected 130 artists to showcase more than 400 pieces of art at Bury Art Gallery and the Fusilier Museum, in Moss Street, from July 15 to 23.
Among those displaying their work is Michael Gutteridge, a Manchester-based artist widely renowned for his images of Manchester city life.
His surrealistic views depict well-known scenes in a dream-like way and are admired by collectors for their vibrancy and emotion.
Returning this year will be Gerry Halpin, a renowned Lancashire artist and member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art, whose work is inspired by landscapes.
All the artwork will be on sale during Bury Art Week, with at least 25 per cent of the proceeds donated to Bury Hospice.
Organiser, Judith Skinner, said: “We’ve had a fantastic number of entries this year. We hope that the people of Bury and the North West region get a lot of pleasure from the event.
“We are grateful that so many people are willing to help raise money for the important work that Bury Hospice does.”
