A MAN has died in hospital nearly two weeks after he suffered severe head injuries in a road accident in Bury. Mr John Foote was crossing Bell Lane at its junction with Willow Street at 9.10am on August 17 when he was in collision with a Toyota Yaris.
The 64-year-old, of Myrtle Street North, was taken to Fairfield General Hospital with multiple injuries and later transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital where he died on Monday evening.
The matter has now been passed on to Bury's coroner who will hold an inquest into the tragedy.
