A MAN is critically ill in hospital after a collision with a car.
The 64-year-old pedestrian, who has not been named by police, suffered serious head injuries when he crashed through the windscreen of a black Toyota Yaris at the junction of Bell Lane and Willow Street, Bury, last Thursday morning.
The man was taken by ambulance to Fairfield General Hospital as police closed a number of roads for up to three hours. He is currently in the intensive care unit at Royal Preston Hospital.
The Toyota was being driven by a 24-year-old man from Rochdale.
Witnesses are asked to phone the Area 2 road policing unit on 0161 856 3572.
