A woman has had her purse stolen in Bury as she walked towards a Metro Link Station.
The 48-year-old was walking down a path between Stanley Street and Whittaker Lane, Prestwich on Wednesday at around 6.30pm when she noticed two men were in front of her.
She walked passed them, holding her purse and envelopes, when one of the men pushed an unknown object into her neck, believed to be a gun. He demanded she handed over her purse and envelopes. Both men ran off, dropping the envelopes, in the direction of Stanley Street.
The purse was later recovered by a member of the public.
Both men are described as being white, slim, between 5ft 4ins and 5ft 11ins tall and wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with any information should contact Bury CID on 0161 856 8213 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
