MUSICIANS are needed to perform at the popular Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival which is returning for a third year.
This year’s event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17, at cafes and restaurants in and around the town centre.
Local performers and singers are being asked to play for a couple of hours over the weekend at the venues, on the street and around the festival.
work is already under way to ensure the event, which brings together 70 of the best chocolate producers around, is as successful as previous years.
Nursery and primary school pupils are also being asked to get involved and help create a three-foot Easter egg at Ramsbottom Civic Hall.
Thousands of visitors flocked to the 2009 and 2010 events, which also included a Guinness World Record attempt for the most Ferrero Rochers eaten in one minute.
This year’s event features a two-day street market in Bridge Street; two-day alfresco dining in Market Place, chocolate workshops, children’s craft workshops and many other activities.
l If your school or nursery is interested in entering the giant egg competition, email town centresteam@bury.gov.uk before February 25 or call 0161 2535327.
