RADCLIFFE Civic Suite was filled with the sound of music last night for the start of Bury Hospice’s school choir competition.
Pupils from Chantlers Primary School, Bury Grammar School Girls and St Marie’s RC Primary School took to the stage.
The winning choir will return to the venue for the grand final on Friday, February 11. They will join the winning groups from heats being held at 6.30pm today and tomorrow.
Other schools taking part are: tonight — St Michael’s RC Primary School, Whitefield; Radcliffe Hall CE/Methodist Primary School, Radcliffe; and St Andrew’s CE Primary School, Ramsbottom.
Tomorrow: St Bernadette’s RC Primary School, Whitefield; Bury Catholic Preparatory School; St John With St Mark Primary School, Bury; and Christ Church CE Primary School, Walshaw.
Tickets for each night are £5, available from the hospice’s fundraising office on 0161 797 1748.
