I WRITE in response to J Corless. I am sorry you found your blue bin such an eyesore. If you lived in Liverpool you could have had a bright purple one. I for one am proud to have and use my blue bin.
Bury Council deserve a pat on the back, and if everyone made more of an effort to recycle, the world would be a much cleaner and greener place to be. Would you sooner live opposite a blue bin or a landfill site? I'm sure you would be on the phone to the council if that was the case.
Did you know you can buy covers for bins in any colour/pattern you like?
Do the planet a favour, ring the council and ask for your bin back and use it with pride.
BLUE BIN LOVER, Ramsbottom
