In response to the letter from J Corless, (Bury Times August 3), regarding the blue bins' for recycling waste.
It infuriates me to think that some people are complaining about the colour of the bins, or for that matter, the number.
Has J Corless considered how unsightly, and unhygienic the alternative is; leaving the rubbish at the side of the house, or in the street, and let's face it, enough does get dumped in the street.
Fortunately, we live in a country that has an infrastructure where rubbish is taken away each week, and attempts are made to recycle what we can, when it is binned', rather than in some parts of the world where it is just dumped on the street.
A coloured bin is a small price to pay to reduce the amount of the Earth's resources gobbled up by our society.
