I WRITE following the letter from Labour Councillor, Mike Connolly, on saving the Robin Hood car park in Tottington, for the people of the village.
I found his viewpoint amazing and I am incredulous, as it is the Labour Party in Bury who have introduced car park charges in the town. Now he has had the audacity to criticise the brewery for doing the same.
I lived in Tottington for 19 years and know only too well that the commerical centre of the village is heavily dependent on the Robin Hood car park being freely available.
The centre provided the village with a "heart" and an invaluable range of shops and facilities for families who live locally. Tottington has a lovely "buzzing" centre, and at all costs the Robin Hood car park must be saved for the people of the village and its visitors.
VERY CONCERNED
