I FULLY endorse the letter regarding the new proposals for Manchester Road between Redvales Road and St Peter's Road (Bury Times, July 20).
I think the best solution would be to cut down some of the overhanging trees, and use better lighting, this would make 100 per cent of a difference.
Also, how about better manners and more courtesy on the roads?
Everyone seems to have tunnel vision, never mind other road users, cyclists etc. I have been driving for 43 years and the traffic situation in the borough is abysmal, something should be done, not just for Manchester Road.
Come on Bury Council and the police, do your duty and help people, pedestrians included.
