BURY Adult Education Centre's Homelessness Project which is in the final shortlist to receive a Quality Improvement Agency (QIA) STAR award. They are one of 170 nominees nationwide.
The team, led by Sue Scott and Paul Fulton, engage with and support homeless people with learning and life changes.
They have built relationships with people who have now achieved qualifications in a number of fields.
Furthermore, their work was so successful that they were asked to stage a homeless forum in Bury.
QIA STAR awards celebrate talent in post-16 education by acknowledging the tutors, trainers, managers and support staff who inspire learners and colleagues every day.
Final winners will be announced at a ceremony in London in October.
