10am: Gates to the Rock retail and leisure complex open for the first time.
10am to 10:15am: Reborn, a Taiko group, will perform a traditional Japanese drumming ritual to call people to the Rock
10:15am to 10:55am: A procession of more than 180 school children, called the Bury Beat Parade will pass by in a show of civic pride.
10:55am: Reborn will give a performance to countdown to the big opening.
11am: Retailers open their doors to shoppers
1pm onwards: There will be a range of outdoor musicians and urban fashion dancers performing at the Rock
4.15pm: Bury Beat Parade returns and there will be a special, unmissable twist at the end!
6.30pm: To round off an exciting afternoon, Bury will have a chance to get itself into the Guinness Book of Records, with an attempt to get the most people ever playing air guitar in unison.
7pm to 8pm: A performance from Bury Battle of the Bands winners, The Afterparty.
