I am at my wits end with the waste disposal at Bury Council. My brown bin has not been emptied since before Christmas.
We were informed that there were no collections early this year due to the ice and snow, but that they would commence again at a later date. I have since been putting the wretched brown bin out on the due date and each time it has not been emptied.
When I have contacted the customer services department, they have assured me there is no reason why it should not have been emptied, they even transferred me to the manager of the waste disposal department who also assured me it must have been an oversight. Last week I put it in the hands of the customer services manager who assured me it would be emptied, but she had the grace to leave me a message on myanswerphone, to leave a message for her on her answerphone, (over the Easter holidays) if the bin had not been emptied again), which I have done. What has happened to what was once a wonderful service?
