A FORMER headmaster of two Tottington primary schools has died aged 94.
Jack Kinsey died on Saturday September 26.
He was appointed headteacher at Tottington Methodist School in 1964 and was the first headteacher at the newly-opened Tottington South Primary School where he served for two years before retiring in 1976.
Mr Kinsey died at his home in Haslingden Hall Residential Home.
Mike Pinder, current headteacher of Tottington Primary, said: “He left a strong legacy behind and is thought of fondly by many in the community. His fine reputation went before him and he will always be remembered as the first headteacher of our school.”
