FIVE Bury fans were ejected from the ground during the second half of the club’s game at Torquay last Saturday.
Stewards at Plainmoor, the home of Torquay United FC, say the spectators had breached stadium regulations.
A Torquay United spokesman said: “We cannot go into detail about why the Bury fans were removed from the stadium, but we believe our stewards acted in the proper, professional way.
“We had about 270 visiting fans from Bury at the match and, with a tiny exception, they all behaved impeccably and were fine representatives of their club.” Police were called to a skirmish between football fans in the Union Inn pub next to the ground shortly after the game ended, but no arrests were made.
