A few tickets remain for the ceremony to announce the winners of Bury Woman of the Year 2009.
The 12th annual event, organised by Bury Hospice, takes place on Thursday, October 15 at the Bolholt Hotel in Walshaw.
The 240 women expected to attend will enjoy a bucks fizz reception, luncheon, and talk by guest speaker Heather Brooke, a journalist involved in uncovering the MPs’ expenses scandal.
They will also be the first to find out who has won this year’s award, which honours women who have gone above and beyond to improve the lives of people in the borough.
For the first time, there will be three winners — carer, volunteer and business, professional, entrepreneur.
Contact the hospice on 0161 797 1748 or fundraisingsupport@ buryhospice.org.uk. for tickets.
