Armed robbers threatened staff and stole cash from a convenience store in Bury.
Three masked men went into the shop on Young Street, Radcliffe at 8pm on Friday 4 September 2009.
One of the men carrying a machete threatened a member of staff, and pushed him around the shop.
The men stole the victim's takings before running off.
They were described as wearing dark coloured hooded tops and dark trousers. They are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s.
Officers investigating are keen to speak to a woman who was close by at the time of the robbery.
She is described as having dark shoulder length hair, aged 20 to 25 years old, and was wearing a purple dress. It is thought she was a front seat passenger of a metallic green Ford Ka.
Detective Inspector Lynne Vernon of Bury CID said: "This lady was close by at the time of the robbery and we think she could have seen these men as they left the shop.
"If you recognise the description or you are reading or hearing this appeal, please get in touch so we can stop these men from targeting anyone else."
