A MAN and woman from Bury have appeared in court after a pensioner was targeted by bogus callers in Salford.
Carlos Price, aged 40, of Wood Street, Bury, has been charged with fraud by false representation and burglary and Ashleigh Jo Phillips, aged 45, also of Wood Street, has been charged with burglary.
Price and Phillips have been charged in connection with an incident last month in which a 66-year-old woman was visited by men posing as roofers and cash was taken from her bedroom.
Michael Alcorn, aged 44, of Accrington, has also been charged with fraud by false representation in relation to an incident on September 7, where a man claiming he was there to work on the boiler drove the same victim to a bank to withdraw money.
Price and Alcorn have both appeared at Salford Magistrates Court and were remanded in custody to a future date.
Phillips has also appeared before Salford magistrates and is next due to appear on October 5.
