A shop worker was rammed by another motorist and robbed of £15,000 in takings during a terrifying incident.

Police today released details of the attack, which happened at 9.15am on Monday, 7 September.

The 18-year-old victim, left the shop where he works, SMS Stores in Countess Lane, Radcliffe, and drove to a bank.

As he travelled along Stopes Road, Little Lever, in his green Fiat Punto his car was hit from behind by a dark Volkswagen Golf.

The teenager got out to check the damage and was punched and pushed by the driver, while the passenger took the cash from the victim’s car.

The passenger than ran to a silver or grey Vauxhall Vectra, which drove off towards Radcliffe.

The Golf, described as an old-shape model, was driven towards Little Lever.

It was later set alight in Bradley Lane, Radcliffe.

The driver was as an Asian man, about 6ft tall, aged 25-28 years old, slim, with short cropped black hair.

The passenger was an Asian man, about 5ft 9ins tall, aged 25-26 years and of medium build. He was wearing a yellow-green woolly hat with bobbles covering the ears.
