BUDDING dancers are being given A Chance to Dance and raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Camilla Dallerup, star of the hit TV show Strictly Come Dancing, is backing the charity’s first mass participation dance challenge and is urging people from Bury to get involved.

The money raised by residents of the town will go to provide free nursing care for local people who are terminally-ill, enabling them to die at home.

The event provides a unique opportunity for people to try four dance styles in one day, while raising vital funds.

Dallerup, who will teach at the national event in November, said: “It’s everyone in Bury’s chance to don their glad rags, step up to the challenge, and hit the dance floor for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Everyone is welcome — even if you have never danced before, come along and we will get you moving. If you’re a regular dancer, we’ll hone your skills in master classes.”

The event will be held at The Midland Hotel in Manchester on Sunday, November 15, with workshops including ballroom and latin dance.
