A REGENERATION boss is heading to Radcliffe to look for ways to improve the town.

Steven Broomhead, chief executive of the North West Regional Development Agency, will consider where investment is needed to boost the area.

The visit is being arranged by Ivan Lewis, MP for Bury South, who will show Mr Broomhead around the town. Mr Lewis said: “We need to find a way of injecting a large amount of cash into Radcliffe.

“We will have a look around the town and hopefully identify options for investment.

“It is really important that we continue to do everything we can to apply pressure for the investment that is so desperately needed.”

A date for the visit has not yet been confirmed.
