VONNIE Jackson hatched a novel plan when she decided to help Bury Cancer Support Centre.
For she sold multi-coloured eggs laid by the free range chickens on her farm in Birtle.
Vonnie raised £200, which has been used to buy four large roller banners promoting the charity.
Jan Katana, from the Friends of Bury Cancer Support Centre, said: “We raise money for the centre in all sorts of ways, such as street collections and social events, but Vonnie shows how people can also contribute to the centre just by doing their own thing.”
