A TELECOMS firm has helped a chemical manufacturer reduce its carbon footprint.

Pennine Telecom in Bury was called in by North Wales-based Warwick International to upgrade its telephone system and find ways of reducing its energy consumption.

Warwick chose a system in which handsets can be powered down when not in use. Mr Geoff King, product and sales director at Pennine Telecom in Salford Street, said Warwick had implemented a future proof telephone solution.
