THE roof of a large detached house in Bury was dismantled after a fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom.
Firefighters had to use an aerial platform to remove slates at the house in Walmersley Road, Chesham, at about 3.45pm on Sunday.
The fire had spread from the bedroom into the roof cavity.
No-one was hurt.
