A RADCLIFFE estate is looking spick and span thanks to the hard work of residents.
For members of St Thomas’ Estate Tenants’ and Residents’ Association spent a day filling two large skips with litter collected in the area.
They also held a planting session, where residents could choose a pot and plant their own flowers.
They took the plants home and delivered some to elderly residents on the estate.
The event was funded by a grant from Six Town Housing.
Donna Cartwright, community involvement officer for Six Town Housing, said: “This estate suffers from flytipping and constant littering, so it was really good to be able to get the community involved with cleaning up their estate and taking ownership of their area.
“It also brought together all sections of the community.”
