SCORES of exhibitors ensured the Edenfield and District Horticultural Society summer show was a soaraway success.
Visitors and exhibitors came from afar for this year’s show, which was held in St Phillip’s Hall, Stubbins.
The society’s secretary, Betty Garvey, said: “It was a wonderful show with plenty of entries and children taking part. We have lots of splendid silverware, which we gave as prizes.
“One of our showers, Tony Bracegirdle, from Ramsbottom, is a national exhibitor and we are thrilled he still comes to our shows.”
Guests enjoyed the displays, which included photography and flower arrangements, and looked around the stalls. Handicrafts, which usually feature in the autumn show, were introduced for the first time.
As always, there was a raffle and refreshments.
