Shotgun-wielding robbers terrified staff at a Bury bookmakers.
Two men burst into the Tote bookmakers on Moorgate on Tuesday morning, pointed a gun at the woman at the counter and demanded cash.
After the cash was handed over to them they ran out of the store. It is believed that they went in after crossing Moorgate on foot.
No shots were fired and nobody was injured. The offenders are both described as being Asian men, wearing dark coloured hooded tops.
Detective Inspector Lynne Vernon, of Bury CID, said: "Though nobody was hurt, this was a terrifying experience for the member of staff, who was left badly shaken by what happened.
"I am appealing for anyone who saw the offenders’ next movements in Moorgate to contact us."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 8243 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
