RADCLIFFE-born TV star Matt Littler will face his biggest challenge yet when he returns to the small screen.
For Matt and Darren Jeffries, best known as former Hollyoaks duo Max and OB, will go head-to-head in some of the toughest sports for new Channel 4 show Red Bull Rivals.
The pair will face gruelling training with professional Red Bull athletes, before doing battle in a series of challenges which include cliff diving, down-hill mountain biking, free running, and piloting homemade flying machines.
Each episode will see them joined by that week’s athlete, plus a celebrity friend who will sit on the sidelines and decide the winner.
Filming for the six-part series is currently taking place and it will be broadcast on T4 in the autumn.
Confident Matt, who grew up in Starling and is a former pupil of Elton High School, said: “I can’t wait to get my hands on these Red Bull athletes and show them who is the boss. It’s going to be a breeze winning the challenges and beating Darren. With my physical prowess and the agility of a cat, this is going to be a walk in the park.”
Clive Tulloh, executive producer for programme makers Tiger Aspect, said: “This really is the ultimate adrenaline-fuelled summer road trip and, with its heady mix of sport, adventure, celebrity and, of course, Matt and Darren, Red Bull Rivals really has something for everyone.”
