THE taxman is on the move!
From Monday HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) will be transferring their inquiry centre into Bury Town Hall’s reception area.
The offices were previously based in Minden Parade, but the lease was due to expire and the service had to move out by September 30.
The inquiry centre at Minden Parade will be closed from tomorrow to allow for the transfer.
Caroline Addison, HMRC’s head of face-to-face services, said: “Customers will benefit from the convenience of being able to visit both HMRC and the local council facilities in one building. This is in line with the Government initiative to provide joined-up services to the public.
“HM Revenue & Customs is committed to providing a face-to-face service for the local community in Bury at a convenient location and this facility is ideal.”
The inquiry centre’s opening hours will be 8.45am to 5pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) and from 9.30am to 5pm on Wednesday.
