HOUSEHOLDS in Bury are being warned they could face a blank TV screen.
They are being urged to have a digital TV system at home before the Winter Hill analogue signal is turned off.
The Winter Hill transmitter, which covers Liverpool, Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and North Staffordshire, will start the process of switching from analogue to digital in early November, with the process running from November 4 to December 2.
Information and guides on digital TVs, set top boxes, digital TV recorders and indoor aerials, along with relevant guides to the switch-over, can be downloaded free at www.ricability-digitaltv.org.uk
