NEWLY-qualified trooper Brendon Clarke fulfilled a mission when he made a return to the Army Careers Information Office where he enlisted.
He was able to tell would-be recruits the truth about life in the Army and the skills it takes to become a soldier.
He was taking part in the Army’s national Satisfied Soldier scheme at the Army Careers Information Office, at the Fusilier Museum.
After completing 20 weeks of demanding training at the Army Training Regiment in Bassingbourn, Brendon, aged 25, relocated to Bovington, Dorset. He carried out a five-month training process on armoured vehicles where he specialised in communications and driving and maintaining armoured fighting vehicles. He is now with the King’s Royal Hussars, and is a gunner for a Challenger 2 Tank.
