TEAMS from Bury’s Youth Service projects will be competing against thousands of youngsters from across the region tomorrow.
The annual North West StreetGames festival is being held at Sportcity in Manchester between 10am and 4pm.
Youngsters from Bury will join more than 1,000 other competitors for activities including athletics, basketball, tri-golf, cricket, skateboarding, rugby league, urban orienteering and graffiti art. The event is organised by Sport4Life and the national charity StreetGames, to give disadvantaged young people the chance to experience a major sports event.
World and European gymnastics champion, Beth Tweddle, will launch the festival today when she will join girls in a street cheer session.
