RESIDENTS have the chance to find out more about their family tree and ancestors — with an offer.
Bury Council’s library service has some online census vouchers for the 1841-1901 censuses (England and Wales), which are due to expire at the end of March 2010.
The vouchers, normally £5 each, are on offer in most libraries for 99p each, while stocks last.
Once activated, the vouchers will give users 500 credits which can be used to see transcripts or original census pages. The vouchers do not cover the 1881 census as it can be accessed online free. The 1911 census, released online this year, can be seen by buying £5 vouchers from all full-time libraries.
