THE Northern Institute of Massage, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary, has two other reasons to be cheerful.
One of the Bury-based Institute’s remedial massage tutors, Shaun Pennington, has qualified as a sports therapist after gaining the Society of Sports Therapists Diploma.
The second piece of good news is that the Institute in St Mary’s Place, has secured the services of world renowned osteopath, Professor Laurie Hartman, to deliver two keynote seminars in November.
Principal of the Northern Institute of Massage, Chris Caldwell, said: “We are excited by Professor Hartman’s visit.
“It is certainly a great coup for us. The seminars are virtually fully booked with students travelling the country to attend.”
On Shaun Pennington’s qualification, he added: “Shaun worked very hard in order to pass the course and I am sure it will benefit him in his roles as tutor and therapist.”
Details are to be announced shortly about their forthcoming massage therapy nightschool course.
