I WRITE regarding the blatant con that is the cost of Bury town centre parking meters.
Call me a cynic, but I can’t help but feel that it is rather under-handed for these meters not to give change or accept copper coins.
The meters in Silver Street charge 75p for 30 minutes or £1.55 for an hour, so if you don’t have a spare five pence coin on you, you are forced to over-pay — I was forced to pay £2 as I didn’t have any small change.
Come on Bury MBC, we pay you more than enough money — stop treating us like mugs.
