Castlebrook High School is building a good reputation for itself.
The school in Parr Lane, Unsworth, has won a 2009 Good Schools Guide GCSE Award in tribute to the sterling academic efforts of pupils involved in construction studies.
The top UK award is in recognition of boys taking Construction (VQ) at vocational GCSE double award standard and based on results over three years.
Castlebrook, which has its own construction skills centre, is “incredibly proud” at achieving the best results in the country.
