MORE than 200 people were caught without a TV licence in Bury during the first six months of 2009.
But it has one of the lowest rates in Lancashire for the offence, with Wigan at 930 and Bolton at 910.
There were 240 people found to be watching TV without a licence across the town for the first half of this year.
More than 214,000 licence evaders were caught across the UK, around 5,000 more than the same period in 2008, between January and June.
