The Fusilier Museum are running craft activities for children during the school holidays.
The fun workshops, which are running every Wednesday and Friday between 11-4pm, will include activities such as decorating and filling a shoebox to be sent to Fusiliers in Afghanistan, or designing and making a medal. The sessions are intended to encourage children to learn more about their local history.
The last session will be on Friday August 28. There is no need to book as the sessions are run on a drop-in basis. Normal museum admission charges apply, and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Starting on Wednesday the August 5, The Fusilier Museum will be delivering an ‘Object of the Month’ talk. These talks will take place on the first Wednesday lunchtime of every month, at 1pm.
They will be held in the museum, and will be a informal ten minute talk delving into the history of a particular object in the collection.
