LOGAN Blake Pearson may only be eight-weeks-old but he can lay claim to being one of the youngest stars on television.
He is the newest addition to the cast of Coronation Street — playing character Maria Connor’s newborn son, Liam.
Logan started filming for the show when he was just five days old.
His parents, Neil Pearson, aged 33, and Caroline Ashton, aged 26, of Dumers Lane, Radcliffe, heard through Linton casting agency in Bury that the show was searching for a newborn baby shortly before Logan was born.
And when he arrived on May 10 he fulfiled the show’s requirements of weighing less than 8lb and having dark hair.
When they registered the birth the new parents had to apply for a work permit.
Mr Pearson said: “When he was five days old we went to Southport to do the first scenes. It all happened so quickly.
“When we got there the cast were on a break and we had lunch with them. They were all really lovely.”
Since then, Logan has filmed on the famous cobbles of Coronation Street at Granada’s studios in Manchester.
