THE Rusholme Ruffians rock band will perform on home turf to raise money for a children's charity.
Radcliffe-based trio Ben Hardman, Ben Thompson and Oliver McDaid have been touring the country as support for The Other Smiths, a tribute band for The Smiths and Morrissey.
They are now organising their own concerts to showcase their versions of indie songs by Oasis, Stone Roses, James, Arctic Monkeys and The Smiths.
The band will perform at Radcliffe Borough FC on Saturday night in a sold-out show for 120 people.
They will raise money for the NSPCC, which Ben Thompson has supported in his role as Ryan Connor in Coronation Street.
Tickets go on sale next week for the band’s next show at The Met in Bury on Friday, July 10.
Ben, aged 16, Ben Hardman, aged 17, and Oliver, aged 17, formed Rusholme Ruffians when they were at Radcliffe Riverside High School.
