A Bury shopping centre has won a national award.
Mill Gate Shopping Centre won the Retail Liaison Award at this year's Sceptre Awards, which recognise "outstanding accomplishments in retail destination management across the UK."
The shopping centre was also highly commended in the Diversity and Inclusion category, and centre manager Angela Tierney was a finalist for manager of the year at a medium venue.
The Mill Gate team consists of more than 30 staff members across centre management, customer service, cleaning, security, and maintenance.
Recent schemes undertaken by the team include the installation of stoma-friendly facilities, the Take a Seat campaign, the relocation of market traders to Mill Gate, and the introduction of staff training and development programmes.
Ms Tierney said: "We are thrilled to be acknowledged at such prestigious awards.
"This is a testament to the entire team's commitment to maintaining high standards and continually striving to improve the shopping experience for our visitors.
"These achievements demonstrate the centre's dedication to inclusivity, accessibility, and customer service excellence, and we remain motivated to build on this success."
The Mill Gate has also been shortlisted for three categories at the upcoming Revo Awards, which are set to take place in London today, Wednesday, December 4.
The categories for which the shopping centre is competing are Team of the Year, ESG Excellence, and Best Marketing Campaign of the Year, for its "Jurassic Journey" event.
