Drivers in and around Bury will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for in the next two weeks.
One of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
All closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M66, from 9pm on Wednesday, December 4 to 5am on Thursday, December 5, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions junction 4 to junction 3 due to a lane closure for barriers.
• A56, from 8pm on Wednesday, December 11 to 5am on Friday, December 13, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 southbound, A56 to junction 1 due to a carriageway closure for structure and maintenance.
• M66, from 9pm on Saturday, December 14 to 5am on Monday, December 16, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions, junction 2 to junction 4 due to a lane closure for litter clearance.
• M66, from 9pm on Sunday, December 15 to 5am on Monday, December 16, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions junction 1 to junction 2 due to a lane closure for barriers.
• M66, from 9pm on Monday, December 16 to 5am on Wednesday, December 18, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions junction 3 to junction 2 due to a lane closure for barriers.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
